The management, through the Dean student affairs has today, Monday 12th December, 2022, lifted the embargo on social activities by students.
It can be recalled that a memo was released on 9th June, 2022 stating the commencement of an embargo on all social activities by students.
“The above was in view of the meeting of the deputy Rector, Deans of Faculties and departmental student associations on 6th December 2022” the memo stated.
In view of this, the management has therefore stated her expectations of students, Organisations, Departments and Faculties after the lifting of the ban.
- Faculty and department student association election be conducted electronically in each Department/Faculty.
- All elections should be clearly supervised by each Faculty.
- The date chosen should be communicated appropriately.
- The terms and conditions should be adhered to, no lawlessness should be allowed, otherwise such association would be sanctioned.
- Unethical behavior(s) should not be encouraged.
