The Rotary International Club, The Polytechnic, Ibadan chapter, on Wednesday, elected a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Mass Communication, Rotrn (Dr.) Olusoji Olatunji as the second President of the Club.

In her inaugural and transition meeting which was held at the Senior Staff Club, North Campus of the institution, the Club announced the new set of executives for the next administration.

While speaking on the future of the Club, the Club Adviser, Rotrn. (Dr.) Omotosho charged the new President, Rotrn. (Dr.) Olusoji Olatunji to keep the flag aloft and continue building the club to greater heights from where the immediate administration left it.

He urged members to fully support the newly elected executives to sail the ship of the club to a glorious berth.

In his acceptance speech, Rotrn ( Dr) Olusoji Olatunji, tasked members to be dedicated and ready to serve humanity together with their resources and in the spirit of brotherhood.

Olatunji and his executives are expected to serve in the Rotary Year of 2023/ 2024.

The change of balton had dignitaries of the academic community in attendance which include immediate past President, Rotn. Remi Akinpelu handing over the insignia of the Rotary Club, The Polytechnic Ibadan Chapter to the new President; Rotrn.( Dr) Omotoso, the Club’s Chapter Adviser; the Secretary, Rotrn. Oshiyemi, Treasurer Rotrn. Tayo; Rotrn.(Dr) Bukola Akinola; Rotrn. (Engr)Tokede amongst others.
