The management of The Polytechnic Ibadan has released a memo stating the prohibition of student cars and power bikes on campus.
The memo, which was dated 19th June, 2023, explained that the decision was made after an Extended Management meeting.
Starting from 6:00am on Wednesday 21st June, 2023, all students will be prohibited from bringing their cars or power bikes onto the school grounds. The memo further stated that any student who violates the policy will face disciplinary action, which could include one semester suspension and a fine of N20,000 for the car or power bike to be released.
The memo emphasized that non-students of the institution caught with such act would be handed over to the police for prosecution.
