“I always defecate inside the bush since I entered Polyibadan” – Student

Babalola Toheeb Ademola

A student has called out the authorities in The Polytechnic, Ibadan for locking down most public toilets on campus.

While having a chat with a member of the Press Council on Friday, March 11th, 2022, the aggrieved student stated that he has been excreting inside the bush since his first day on the soil of the institution.

A mass communication student who pleaded anonymity said that the toilet behind where they receive lectures has never been opened for once.

According to him, “the toilet behind our class is not the only one that’s locked, some other lecture rooms’ toilets around the campus are locked too”

“Whenever I’m pressed during lectures, I go straight to the bush behind the class. Most times, those farmers use to send us away for littering their farms with excreta” He added

“I don’t know why there is such a situation inside the school. What if something happens to us inside that bush?” – he asked.

Press council is using this medium to plead to the concerned authorities to help see to this and make the toilets in the school available for use by the students.
