It was an atmosphere of celebration as individuals of great personalities from every walks of life stormed The Polytechnic, Ibadan, to commission the ultra modern building donated to the institution by Dosu Babatunde Foundation.
In remembrance and celebration of the life and times of Chief Oladosu Badatunde, the foundation has deemed it fit to make impact in the society in the name of the deceased.
Speaking about the late alumnus of the institution, notable personalities who graced the event gave account of his existence.
“In the next 100 years, I don’t think we can forget about Dosu Babatunde, because both his contributions during his lifetime and aftermath, and I strongly believe that this is a lesson for everyone of us” Prof. Kazeem Adebiyi, Rector, The Polytechnic, Ibadan.
“The Polytechnic, Ibadan, will always be thankful to Chief Dosu Babatunde, for his tremendous gift to humanity. Also to the management of the foundation, for creating a landmark in Ibadan, and most importantly for starting with Dosu Babatunde’s alma mata.” Prof Akinyemi, Chairman Governing, Council.
The program featured public lecture, awarding of scholarships, signing of the buildings memorandum of understanding (MoU), entertainment and flashbacks to the lifetime of the deceased.
Late Chief Oladosu Babatunde was an alumnus of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, a philatrophist and a renowned Urban and Regional Planner during his lifetime.
