Therefore, the impact technology has brought globally includes; the improvement of productivity and lots more.
Technology has played a key role in driving productivity for business in a way that would have been unthinkable just few decades ago. Advancement in manufacturing and assembly line technology mean that goal can be produced at an incredible rate.
It also brings better and easier communication between people which has been the greatest advancement on technology that is the invention of internet, which has truly changed every aspect of life and made the world more interconnected. Someone in Canada can communicate with someone in South Africa in a matter of seconds. Also, Facebook that allow post update about people, then WhatsApp allowing people to send messages to each other without limitations as new communication app keep coming up all time, video and conference call became the old barrier of communication and geographical distance has been broken down for good.
Technology allows remote education which mean in the past getting an education requires the learner to go to a physical location to learn from a teacher in person and read physical books. The advent of internet itself has made knowledge ubiquitous. Anyone can log onto Wikipedia and find information about something or purchase an eBook, even if the physical version of the book is unavailable at the current location.
Financial transaction and payment are more easy and secure unlike before where money has to be store in a physical location, thieves could even break into homes and cart away with money and other valuable stuff if they found out where they are been stored. The advancement in financial technology mean all financial transaction can be completed online through innovative banking smartphone app which help to make financial decisions save money like the use of single use code, multiple password, encryption and so on made financial transaction more secured.
As technology has impacted globally so it does have it effect globally as well in such a way that; It might replace human jobs due to important role it played in an automation that had dark side. If every part of manufacturing process can be automated, why hire human. Technology automatic can typically produce greater result with fewer mistakes. The threat of technology to human job is ominous. A world in which technology has monopoly on the manufacturing process is simply unsustainable.
Technology also distract student from studying such that mobile devices is a gateway to world of distractions. From social media post, to memes, to YouTube videos.
Technology has indeed made learning more fun abs interactive for many however, a minute distraction can easily turn into hours. This poses a consideration challenge to education; many young students have access to smartphones today especially those living in advanced countries.
