The management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan in collaboration with the United Kingdom based Director of Eduserve Limited on Monday, the 27th of November, 2023, enlightened the students of the institution on basic easy platforms that can be utilized in furtherance of their education abroad, especially at the United Kingdom. The program was held at the CIBN Hall, The Polytechnic, Ibadan.

In attendance was the Rector, The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Prof. Kazeem Adebiyi A., the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Alh. Soladoye Adewole, the Chairman, Committee of Deans, the Dean Student Affairs, Mr Makinde John, Dr. Bolanle Oseni, Dean FFMS, Dean FBCS, the Director of CEC, Dr. A.B. Akinola, the Director of DPP, Dr. (Mrs.) Risikat Abimbola Akinseye amongst others.

Hosts of final year students from designated departments in the institution were also present at the event that was anchored by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Alh. Soladoye Adewole.

The host Rector, Prof. Kazeem Adebiyi in his opening speech, stated the importance as he briefly sensitized the student on the reasons the institution partnered with this organization (Comfort Eduserve Limited) in helping students stand out and pay back to their country after their course of study. Stating his reasons, the Rector cited the University of Ibadan being the premier University in Nigeria, likewise other Universities that have partnered with this organization.

He explains further that his experience, exposure and love for education which drove him towards connecting with the organization, would be highly appreciated if students of The Polytechnic, Ibadan enrol for their scholarship scheme, which would serve as a ladder for them to secure admission to further their educational pursuit in their reputable institution without any barrier and which would serve as the bridge between the students and the organization.

A Question and Answer session ensued as students were given the chance to ask about the scholarship scheme introduced by the institution and the organization.

The Director of Comfort Eduserve Limited, Dr. Babatunde Olawore, proceeded by saying that a student with upper credit would undergo a one year IT program equivalent to BSC and a student with lower credit will undergo 2 years top up program equivalent to BSC and a student with distinction would be given a scholarship specifying that the organization would pay 50 percent of the cost of study. He also talked about Higher Education England (H.E.E.) that anyone going into the teaching line would undergo.

In an interview with the Press Council, Dr. Olawore claimed his organization has supported over one thousand intellectual students in studying abroad, especially in the United Kingdom (UK). “Traveling abroad through us is a credible means” he remarked.
