Sequel to the press released on 9th April 2020 titled: “Bring back out portal; Ibadan poly students cry out.” Most of the stale students have been greatly affected as they were unable to access the portal in order to complete their 2018/19 session registration and also printout their course form resulted to lack of results.
This is in light of the change of the school web portal for payment registration at the turn of the year. Which was at the bequests of the Oyo State Government for the implementation of Treasury Single Account (TSA). This had resulted in the closure of the previous e-portal.
It is with the benevolence of the management of the state’s owned institution seeing to that the portal been brought back alive despite the inconveniences caused by the pandemic quarantine season.
Students who were unable to complete their 2018/19 registration, be it due to failure to pay for tuition fee or miscellaneous, are now obliged to visit the portal; http://eportal.polyibadan.edu.ng/Desktop and proceed with the payments.
Press council correspondents reached out to students who had hitherto complained about the lack of portal. Damilare, a student of faculty engineering, who is also in that category, eulogises the management for their efforts concerning the reopening of the old portal in spite of the current situation of the country. “They still deem it fit to work in the reopening of the portal. Definitely, they are working for us,” he said.
He also commends them for putting all the students account in a workable condition.
He further reiterated that this is a call to action to the students who are carefree towards registration to complete all necessary registration online and pay all debts so that they won’t be bereaved and delayed of their result and respective registration when the school resumes after the pandemic.
We reached out to Busari, a student of Public Administration, he was full of the Students’ Union and Press Council for their efforts in the return of the portal. He said that it’s so fortunate that the management of polybadan revived the portal which will enable them to print out their course form and complete necessary registration which will make them a satisfied student of the institution.
Basically, this is a call to action for the students to see the registration as an important issue to attend in their studentship so that they won’t face any problem and their time in the institution won’t be a waste.
The management has fulfilled our requests. Therefore there is no excuse for any students not to do his/her registration.
