Management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan have cleared the false information circulating around the closure of the Institution as they revealed that the institution recorded no case of COVID-19.
The citadel of technological innovation made this development known through the Institution’s Public Relations Officer, Alh. Soladoye Adewole in a telephone interview with press correspondent, while reacting to a news flying around that a tertiary institution have been shut down by the Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force after recording a case of COVID-19, an action which attributed to fear amongst students of the institution.
Alh. Soladoye also maintained that, “their is no COVID-19 inside Polyibadan” , The Polytechnic, Ibadan in a bid to get rid of the novel virus have commenced the Post COVID-19 Fumigation in the school. “The school affected is not The Polytechnic, Ibadan. We are not a college, You can nose round to find out the school affected”.
The PRO further emphasised, “the stance of the management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan to Students and people within her environs is that, we should be our brothers keeper, endeavor to keep an eye on every activities particularly health related, observe personal hygiene, and we strictly adhere strictly to Covid-19 protocols.
Meanwhile, The First Semester Examination for the 2019/2020 session for the HND2 and ND1 students of the Faculty of Business and Communication Studies (FBCS) and Faculty of Environmental Studies (FES) continues on Monday 9th November, 2020.
