The National Association Of Osun State students’ The Polytechnic, Ibadan, appointed His Royal Majesty, Oba Kayode Adenekan Afolabi Atoyebi II, (Alapomu Of Apomu Kingdom) as their royal father.
The appointment, which took place on the 17th May, 2023, at the King’s palace, was a blissful and colourful event which gave a hallmark of success.
While speaking with our correspondent, the President of the National Association Of Osun State students’, The Polytechnic Ibadan, Aare Oladepo Taofeek Olalekan, stated that the association has been running its affairs without a pioneer Royal father since the demise of late Akirun Oba Abdulrauf Olawale Adedeji, and to maintain culture and honour of having a royal father, it’s essential the legacy is sustained.
Kabiesi Alapomu appreciated the students’ association for counting him worthy of the honour, and however, advised all students not to forget their primary assignment and face it squarely. He also advised them to shun cultism and any immoral activities that could tarnish their reputations and that of a prestigious institution.
A frame of honour was presented to the King on behalf of all students of the state in the institution.
