The Junior Chamber International Nigeria (JCIN), The Polytechnic, Ibadan, organized a one-day sanitation exercise today, Saturday, 31st of August, 2024, at the main gate premises of The Polytechnic, Ibadan.
The initiative, led by the Local Organization President, JCIN Member Akande Moses Olamide, is the organization’s “Clean-Up Project.” The project was carried out with the aim of making the school environment cleaner to foster good health and hygiene for all students and occupants of The Polytechnic community.
In an interview with Press Council members, the President stated that, “This project is aimed at achieving a hygienic environment and promoting economic sustainability by engaging in exercises that embody our service to humanity, which has always been our watchword.”
The clean-up project featured activities such as clearing bushes, picking up litter, filling potholes, and proper waste disposal, all of which contributed to the overall beautification and safety of the school premises.
