The junior chamber international, Nigeria (JCIN), The Polytechnic, Ibadan chapter took its election sensitization program to the entirety of the students on campus on Monday 11th February, 2019.
The program which was tagged “PEACEFUL ELECTION ADVOCACY RALLY SENSITIZATION” commenced around 10:30 am, the take-off point being the JCIN, The Polytechnic, Ibadan secretariat located at Orisun Hall of residence basement, South Campus of the institution.
The JCIN President of The Polytechnic Ibadan Chapter, Miss Ogunleye Olamitayo Tifeoluwa, in a session during the sensitization rally said, “there are many corrupt practices that come with electioneering in Nigeria, among which evidently is vote buying. In lieu of that, we, as active citizens of Nigeria have decided to take a walk against this immoral act, and as well sensitize the student on its consequence.”
The election sensitization rally which also stretched to the visit and session with Mr. Muyiwa Ojo, where he commended them for the sensitization program, and furthered address them to keep up the good work.
The sensitization rally ended at the popular Apete Market around 3 pm.
