Less than 6 months in office, two-thirds of the students’ union executives gave a notification to the populace of the students’ on campus and management of the institution informing them on their resignation from office having seen the worst, and resignation being the last resort.
In an open memo released by the concerned executives, it was gathered that they are set to resign from office due to the imbalanced running of the present administration, as well as the deprivation of their rights by the school management. The memo reads in part;
“After carefully looking into the way students are suffering, management and state government depriving students of their rights and the way the administration of the Union is going, we have decided to resign due to these reasons.
On this note, we don’t think it’s advisable for future purpose, to continue with an administration where we don’t have a say, where the management is not ready to listen to the voice of the students and to give us the best, where the President is not doing the right thing”
The executives who were inaugurated into office on the 12th of October, 2021 has expressed their grievances on how being an executives has made them powerless in the fight for the interests of the students’ which they actually vowed for in the course of the election.

However, the concerned executives wishes the management and the entire students’ of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, all the best as they prefer and would like to be an ordinary student on campus, where their rights cannot be decimated.
