Following the trending memo emanated from the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, The Polytechnic, Ibadan, chapter, lecturers have began to send Daily Part Time(DPP) and Part Time (PT) students, out of lecture halls.

On Wednesday, 12th of April, 2023, students had resumed to their lecture halls to commence academic activity for the day, however, it came shocking to most of ghe students as they were being walked out of the lecture halls by their lecturers.

A student of Public Administration(ND2), who pleaded anonymity, shared his ordeal with Press Council.

“I was present at Sewage, well seated to receive lecture. Our lecturer arrived for his period by 8 o’clock, he waited for some time for the students arrive.”

“At exactly 8:20 he came into the class again, gave out an instructions that the class should be spitted into two parts DPP and Full Time separately.”

“He then read the memo on his phone and asked the DPP student to walk out of the class. He now referral us to DPP Director’s office.” – he narrated.

As at the time this report is being gathered, the Students’ Union Government, are reportedly in action to step into the situation.
