The Polytechnic, Ibadan, chapter of Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, under the chairmanship of Dr Kola Lawal, has notified the students of the institution on her plan to withdraw service to the Part Time(PT) and Daily Part Time(DPP) students of the institution.
According to a memo signed by the chairman of the Union, Dr Kola Lawal, and his Secretary, Prince Fajemiroye, the plan to withdraw academic service, will come to effect from Wednesday, 12th April, 2023.
The memo, explained further, that the reason for the withdraw is due to lack of payment of lecturers’ claims, which are said not to be paid in full.
The Union, however threatened not to embark of her plan, until the “agreed sum” has been fully paid to all members.
