Less than an hour until the commencement of the part-time students’ examination, the 2019/2020 graduates of Public Administration students have staged a protest over a delay in the release of their results and other irregularities.
The former Public Admin students made their grievances known by flying placards with different inscriptions, today, at the Faculty of Business and Communication Studies (FBCS) building, North campus.
The ex-graduates not only locked staff and lecturers outside the building but also denied them the preparation for the commencement of the part-time examination.
Speaking on behalf of other colleagues, a student who pleaded for anonymity, stated that the management of the faculty and their department are toying with their careers for not releasing their results after years of graduation.
He added that the department is yet to compile their names for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mobilization.
When called on the phone, the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Communication Studies (FBCS), Dr. Akinola, stated that the Department of Public Administration is yet to brief the faculty management about the situation.
Dr Akinola summoned the grieved students to provide representatives for the round table and find lasting resolutions on the issues.
She assured them that all results would be released and they would also be shortlisted for mobilization for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) soon.
