Following the report of the last meeting of the Directorate of Students Affairs, The Polytechnic Ibadan, with members of the Students’ Union electoral body on Monday, 31st of October, 2023, an abridged time-table has been released by the Directorate of Students Affairs on Tuesday, 1st of November, 2023, to effect the hastening and transparency of the electioneering process of the Students’ Union Executives.
Accompanying this document, are other documents: Eligibility criteria for aspirants, Available positions for the 2023/2024 SUG elections, Sanctions for violating the rules governing the 2023/2024 SUG elections, and An Internal Memorandum acknowledging all the above mentioned as the approved working documents for the 2023/2024 electioneering process.
The entire populace of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, is expected to take note of the content of these documents, as we look ahead for a free, fair and credible SUG elections in the days to come.
However, it has been thoroughly emphasized by the Students’ Union electoral body that; aspirants and their supporters are required to judiciously abide by the various rules guiding electoral conducts during this period, else, they are bound to face the consequences.
