Press Council, The Polytechnic, Ibadan commenced first ever Press Week activities today the 24th of July, 2024 as press members orchestrated Press Rally and Media Awareness from South Campus to North campus of the institution.
The Press Week which is an array of 7 days exciting activities is themed Press Week 2024; Uniting Voices, Shaping Narratives.

During the rally, Press Council members created press and media awareness by engaging in various activities such as display of placards and banners with inscriptions that informs people about the press on campus, carried out series of vox pop, as well as relating with students, the essence of press and campus journalism in the environment of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, thereby emphasizing the fact that Press Council is the fourth realm of estate in the institution.
Members of the Press Council also informed students about the activities inherent in the Press Week ranging from Media Boot Camp and Journalism Workshop, free Medical checkups and sensitization, State of the Union, Funs and Games, Yemi Adeniran Literary Contest (YALC 2.0) and Journalists Day out that will be held on other days of the week simultaneously.
Also present at the rally were members of the Campus 360 team from Agidigbo fm as one of the partners of the Press Week programs.
