Day 4 of the NBTE/Nigeria Polytechnics Senior Staff Games Association (NIPOSSGA) brought even more excitement to The Polytechnic, Ibadan, as various sporting events continued to captivate participants and spectators alike. With a wide range of indoor and outdoor games activities, the day proved to be a showcase of talents and determination.

Football Matches:

In the football category, Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, secured a narrow 1-0 victory over The Polytechnic, Ibadan, in a closely contested match. Auchi Polytechnic also claimed a 1-0 win over Uwanna Polytechnic.

Abia Polytechnic showed their prowess with a 2-1 win against Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic, while Nekede outperformed Eruwa with a 2-0 victory. These matches televised the competitive spirit and skill level of the participating teams.


The volleyball matches were equally intense, with Nasarawa defeating Saki Polytechnic 3-1, and Kebbi narrowly emerging victorious over Plateau Polytechnic with a score of 1-0. Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic showed their dominance with a 2-0 win over The Polytechnic, Ibadan, in their duel.

Indoor Games Are In The Knockout Stages:

All indoor games, including Thug of War, Badminton, Chess, Ayò Olọ́pọ́n, Draught, and Ludo, have reached the knockout stages, adding a new layer of intensity to the competition.

Participants in these indoor games have demonstrated strategic thinking, precision, and teamwork, making the knockout rounds highly anticipated.

As the NIPOSSGA Games progress, the athletes continue to push their limits and showcase their talents.
