On Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024, the Junior Chamber International Nigeria (JCIN), The Polytechnic, Ibadan, continued their JCIN TPI Week with the Dr. Remi Awode Business Symposium at the 250 Capacity Hall, The Polytechnic, Ibadan.
The program commenced with an opening speech delivered by the Local Organization President, Akande Moses Olamide. He welcomed all members to the event, DRABS 2024, tagged “THRIVE 24,” with the theme “Beyond Diploma: Thriving in the Business World.” He extended his appreciation to all members and invited guests, encouraging everyone to take notes as they would learn a lot from the speakers.
Following the opening remarks, the panel session, moderated by Favour Isah Glory, posed the question, “What makes you unique?” Tiwaloluwa Adegbenro responded with “mindset,” while others shared their answers. Dr. Kunle Awotiku, while lecturing and sharing his experiences, emphasized that “your potential is your credential that makes you essential and influential in life.”
Honourable Ademola Omotoso, who was graced the event and accompanied by Hon. Akinshete, gave special advice to all Jaycees and non-Jaycees, appreciating the local organization for their good work. The theme speaker, Hon. Seun Fakorede, who was represented by Mr. Akinyemi, spoke extensively on the theme: “Beyond Diploma: Thriving in the Business World.”
Distinguished guests and speakers present at the event were presented with awards of appreciation for their contributions to the success of DRABS ’24, tagged “THRIVE 24.”
Few members of the JCIN TPI Chapter enjoyed free slot to professional training and courses sponsored by Dr. Kunle Awotiku , JCI Sen. Oluwakemi Irinoye, Tiwaolaoluwa Adegbenro and Hon. Ademola Omotosho.
The event was graced with the presence of the Admission Officer of The Polytechnic, Ibadan Dr. Taiwo Olajide”, JCI Amb. Joel Adepoju, JCI Amb. Gbadamosi Hamdalat, JCIN UI President Jc Onifade Gbemileke, JCIN OAU President Jc Mercy Elizabeth, Alumni and other dignitaries.
