The Federation of Igbo Students Union led by Comr. Emmanuel Chisom Odinigwe organized Easter Lecture and distribution of palliatives to students ealier today, 12th April, 2024, at FB4, OTM Building, North Campus, The Polytechnic, Ibadan.
The Guest lecturer Rev. Fr. Michael Domingo lectured on the topic ‘BRING ME A NEW CRUSE 2KING 2:20’ and stated that a new cruse means new things. However, according to the verse, the situation and vegitation of this city is very plesant but the water is bad and the land is barren. Rev. Domingo added that WATER symbolises LIFE, and for us to change the mentality of this country, we must use a new cruse, that is generations with new mindset and faiths, he concluded.
In the speech of the FISU President, he apprecciated God for the success of the programme and for succeeding the challenges faced, he apprecciated his Executives for joining hands together with him for the success of the programme, he then says the purpose of this programme is to enhance the livelihood of students, and this is possible with the support of their various sponsors, he said.
He futher advice the Igbo students and The Polytechnic, Ibadan students at large to focus on their primary assignment on campus.
Following the lecture session, palliatives were shared to the Igbo students who were with their FISU reciept.
Present at the events were The Polythecnic, Ibadan Admission Officer Dr. Mrs. Taiwo Olajide, Comr. Oyekan Tobiloba, the SUG President, Aare Samuel Oyebamiji, FIAP Chairman, Sen. Folahanmi Adnan, the SRC Speaker and all other student leaders on campus.
