The Federal Ministry of Education has called for entries for their fourth edition of Budding Engineers, Scientists and Technologists competition and exhibition.
This competition and exhibition is meant for the Science and Technology students in private and public Polytechnics, Monotechnics, Innovation Enterprise Institutions (IEIs), and Colleges of Education.
The theme of competition is “Science, Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Development,” and also has its objective to develop and promote creative, problem solving and entrepreneurial skills in the upcoming Scientists, Technologists, and Innovators for national prosperity.
Competition Guidelines:
- Eligible to students of Science and Technology in Public and Private Polytechnics, Monotechnics, Innovation Enterprise Institutions (IEIs), and Colleges of Education.
- Students can only make entries for independent research projects carried out under the supervision of verifiable lecturers and institutions.
Stages of the Competition
- Submission of an expanded abstract of a research project including charts, graphs, pictures, photographs should be made online here. Each entry(maximum of 10 pages) should be accompanied with a duly completed Entry form provided. No co-author work would be accepted.
- All entries received shall be forwarded to the panel of judges for short listing. the shortlisted candidates shall be contacted for the defence of their projects at the zonal levels(North and South Zones).
- The qualifiers at the northern and the southern Zones competitions shall be invited to Abuja for Grand Finale.
- The Award Ceremony and Exhibition of winning projects shall be presided over by the Honorable Minister of Education in Abuja.
Entries close on Friday, 5th July, 2019.
