The Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND), Prof. Suleiman Elias Bogoro showers encomium on the management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan for maintaining good qualities on construction projects and structures.

Bogoro on Thursday 11th September,2020 gave the institution a pass mark while commissioning three (3) lecture theaters constructed by management with the fund provided by TETFUND . He also commended the Rector, Prof. Kazeem Adebiyi on his excellent performance.

According to a press statement made available to news Correspondent of the Press Council by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Alh. Soladoye Adewole, “The TETFUND Executive Secretary, Bogoro commissioned a 250; 150 seater Lecture Hall and 350 – seater lecture hall converted into a 400 – seater hall with funds provided and as well commissioned a 300 – seater Technical/ Engineering Drawing Studio on behalf of the Chairman, Board of Trustees of TETFUND, Alh. Kashim Ibrahim- Imam who was unavoidably absent.”

Prof. Suleiman Bogoro flanked by Chairman, Governing Council of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Prof. Kunle Akinyemi and the Rector, Prof. Kazeem Adekunle Adebiyi while commissioning the Technical / Engineering Studio maintained that lots of educational institutions are beneficiaries of the TETFUND fund lamenting the fact that most of them are not performing up to expectation as projects were left uncompleted.

The Executive Secretary of TETFUND however commended the Rector of The Polytechnic, Ibadan for the job well done describing him as one of the ‘performing heads of tertiary institutions in the country’.

Bogoro also commended the Federal Government for the establishment and funding of TETFUND pointing out that the body has no doubt turned around the fortunes of tertiary institutions in terms of provision of facilities and training of personnel.

Chairman of the Governing Council of the Institution, Prof. Kunle Akinyemi, and the Rector, Prof. Kazeem Adekunle Adebiyi expressed their sincere gratitude to TETFUND for the support given to the Institution and also requested for more support from the board.

Prof. Akinyemi further vowed that projects approved for the Institution will always be executed within the approved time frame while the fund will be spent judiciously.
