The Polytechnic, Ibadan, has issued a reminder to all students, emphasizing on the importance of adhering to the 2024/2025 academic calendar. In a recent press release signed by Mr. Soladoye Adewole, the Public Relations Officer, on behalf of the Acting Registrar, Mr. Adewumi Ogunjimi, students were urged to ensure the timely completion of their registration and payment processes on time to avoid penalties. 

 New students were welcomed on October 14, 2024, with returning students joining on October 20, 2024. Classes officially began on November 4, 2024. A three-week registration period opened on October 14 to November 1, 2024. For those who missed this deadline, a late registration window, subject to a penalty, opened on November 2, 2024, and will close on November 8, 2024.

The institution emphasized that any new student who fails to complete both payment and registration by the final deadline will risk forfeiting their admission. To assist students facing financial challenges, the statement highlighted the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) loan scheme for tertiary institutions, encouraging them to take advantage of this support who avoid delay in their registration. Details about the loan are available online as well as the institution’s Student Affairs office. 

First-semester exams are scheduled to start on February 17, 2025, and conclude on March 8, 2025. For more information, students are encouraged to consult The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Press Council official channels.
