The institution’s name, which was recently changed by the governor from the Polytechnic Ibadan to Victor Omololu Oluloye Polytechnic Ibadan, has created a lot of confusion among students.
However, the March, which was led by Comr. Oladipupo Olamide Daniel the Students’ Union President of the institution, started from the campus south gate today, Tuesday, July, at exactly 7am, to appeal to the Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde on the renaming of the institution.

The Oyo state governor is currently not around, but the deputy governor is on his way to address the students. Said by Honourable Olajide
However, the students stood their ground, refusing to leave the protest ground until they were addressed by the authorities available.
