The Institution, is mourning the sudden and heartbreaking loss of one of its most respected academic leaders, Dr. Kehinde Faniyi, who until her passing served as the Dean, Faculty of Business and Communication Studies. Her unexpected death has left a palpable void in the hearts of colleagues, students, and the wider academic community.

Dr. Faniyi was widely known for her towering intellect, unwavering integrity, and a tireless commitment to excellence. Her tenure as Dean was marked by remarkable progress in academic standards, innovative reforms, and a renewed focus on student mentorship. Under her guidance, The Faculty of Business and Communication Studies experienced significant growth, with improvements in curriculum design, research output, and departmental synergy.
Beyond her administrative duties, Dr. Faniyi was an integral part of the Department of Music Technology, where her scholarly contributions and creative vision helped shape the department into a hub of academic and artistic excellence. Colleagues frequently described her as a quiet force, humble in demeanor but unyielding in her pursuit of quality education.
Students also echoed sympathy, with many taking to social media to share her photographs, kindness, guidance, and encouragement, mostly on their WhatsApp platforms.
Dr. Faniyi’s legacy is one of dedication, brilliance, and selfless service. Her absence will be deeply felt, but her impact will continue to resonate through the lives she touched and the institution she helped shape.
She is survived by family, friends, and a professional community that will cherish her memory always.
