Earlier today, October 3rd, 2024, the Junior Chamber International Nigeria (JCIN), The Polytechnic, Ibadan, continued their JCIN TPI Officers Training School a two days virtual and physical training at the 150 Capacity Hall, Middle belt, The Polytechnic, Ibadan.

The event commenced with the rendition of the National Anthem and the JCIN Creed, led by JCI Member Lawal Blessing.
After the commencement of the program, The JCIN TPI Matron, Dr. Abiodun Adegbuyi, a renowned leader and a mother, delivered the opening address welcoming all members to the event, Officers Training School (OTS) themed “Leading with One Voice” she extended her appreciation to all members and invited guests, encouraging everyone to take notes of the significance of effective leadership, Dr. Adegbuyi urged officers to embrace the training as an opportunity for growth.
The event was followed by a lecture session, expertly facilitated by Mrs. Moremi O. Adeleke, who delved into essential leadership traits and strategies for fostering a positive atmosphere. Mrs. Moremi engaging presentation sparked lively discussions, as participants engaged in a test exercise on their leadership skill.

Mrs Moremi emphasized that leading with One Voice requires effective communication, relatability, and humility, recognizing that leadership extends beyond titles. She made mentioned that unity is the cornerstone of success, as a house divided against itself cannot stand. The driving force behind this unity is the ‘why’ – the purpose that sustains individuals through challenges.
During a Panel session, JCIN CNLLR. Akande Moses and Past President Akinyemi Ogungbaro shed light on effective communication solutions for leadership success. They emphasized the importance of persistence in mission driven communication, continuing to drive the message until tangible change is achieved by the members. Effective leaders also empower their members to create possibilities, fostering an environment where subordinates acknowledge clear requests by the leader and feel encouraged to share their responses and views. By adopting these strategies, leaders can cultivate a culture of collaboration, innovation, and progress.

Distinguished guests and speakers present at the event were presented with awards of appreciation for their contributions to the success of OfficersTraining School, themed ” Leading with One Voice”
The event was graced with the presence of the JCIN TPI Matron Dr. Abiodun Adegbuyi , IPP JCIN CNLLR. Akande Moses, Past President Akinyemi Ogungbaro and other dignitaries.
The JCIN TPI Officers Training School came to a close today, with the Vice President in charge of Projects JCI Member Gbadebo oladimeji E. delivering the closing remark to the all members imploring them to make sure of all skills learnt and build a lasting organization.
