On Thursday, 4th June 2024, Campus Colossus in conjunction with League Of Welfare Directors, The Polytechnic, Ibadan, offers a complimentary ride to 300 individuals including staffs and Students of The Polytechnic, Ibadan.
The free ride was effective and enhanced by the coupons that was given to students and staff. However, the usage of the coupon took effect throughout the day’s work hours. “The bikers were receptive with the usage of the coupon and explained to students who were not knowledgeable on the usage of the coupon”, a student retorted.
Another beneficiary of the complimentary ride related with members of the Press Council that using the coupon was hassle free and commended the initiators for being concerned about students welfare.
The usage of the coupon enabled us to make use of the transportation service instead of the initial routine of trekking to our destination, some students opined.
While speaking with the members of the Press, the Director, Campus Colossus, Com. Olatunji Olayinka Dolapo asserted that the experience of the initiative was encouraging. “No fault was recorded as per this program is concerned, it was a win-win scenario for all participant” he added. He further explained that they are thrilled to work on the second edition which they promised to make it bigger and much better. We will continue to support and give back to the student community for a better future we all desire.
The Director also in turn appreciated the effort of the SUG Bike Men Association for agreeing to this new Initiative, to the students and staff as well as their Grand Ambassadors who supported this initiative. Most importantly, he appreciated the support of the League of Welfare Directors The Polytechnic, Ibadan for their leadership role in making sure there was a just and transparent sharing of the coupon cards to all students and promised that the second edition of the free ride initiative will be coming up by next session.
