The holiday is over! It’s over a month since the school vacated, and it’s been a long and enjoyable holiday for all the students of the polytechnic Ibadan. The last examination was a jackpot for some people and to some, it wasn’t easy. Well, that chapter has been closed; it is now a new beginning.
At the start of a new academic session, you should know that there are new responsibilities and challenges to face and scale through. After many weeks of holiday, you might find it challenging to get yourself back to the tedious schedule. However, it is important to activate your school mood and approach this session with a planned strategy and a positive mindset.

It is time for you to come back to reality, as this seems like a dream experience and would be risky if you don’t make hay while the sun shines. Enough of films and loafing. It’s high time you face your primary assignment so as not to be dead in your slumbers. You need to get back to work and prepare for lectures, and remember! Registration exercises should not be taken with levity as a stitch in time will save nine. Remember how the last session was for you so, this is another opportunity to giggle up and work harder.

To the newly admitted students, congratulations to you all. What your admission means is that The Polytechnic Ibadan recognizes your achievements as well as your future potentials. And the school is ready to help you learn and grow professionally with the community of learners you have been invited to join. You will learn if you want to and if it is fun you are after, you will surely get it. So choose wisely!

Being in a higher institution for the first time is fascinating and terrifying, but you don’t have to get yourself too worked up, neither should you be overconfident. With time, you will get accustomed to how things run here. Prepare your mind for an arduous, fascinating, and challenges filled journey.
It is also necessary to applaud the school management for its relentless effort to build its moral and infrastructural standards continuously.

The institution is filled with baked leaders and is still in the business of building future leaders—a big tombs up to the management for doing a great job. In the lieu of this, it will be appreciated if the school management can make the school resumption an exciting one for both the stale students and the newly admitted. It will be nice if the school could look into the NLT blocks at the Middle belt. The ceiling of the buildings and the white board needs to get repaired and replaced as they are broken and presently in bad condition.

The sewage halls also need to be revamped as the roof of the buildings are in bad conditions and needs to be changed. Also, the bushes around the building needs to be cleared and spread with insecticides and pesticides as students complained of being disturbed by wasp, cobwebs and other harmful insects. It will be greatly appreciated if the school can make those halls a more conducive environment for learning.

There are lots of rehabilitations to be done on campus to declare the resumption reality, the management should see to the clearing of the grown weeds and put the necessary facilities and equipment in place. Martin luther king once said that you don’t have to see all the steps of a big staircase. You just have to take that first step to start climbing them. WITH CONFIDENCE, TAKE THE FIRST STEP TO YOUR JOURNEY TO SUCCESS.
HAPPY RESUMPTION TO YOU ALL
