The Students’ Union Government Olympics Game begins in Grandstyle as the competition commenced between the Department of Building Technology, and the Computer Engineering Department of Group A at the Main Pitch, North Campus, The Polytechnic, Ibadan.
The first half of the game, which ended as a goalless match, showed the high level of preparation between both teams, with whopping kicks from all grounded players.
However, the second half of the game also ended as a goalless draw, which made the match a tough but fantastic one.
In a bid to encourage the players, and to enforce a peaceful competition, the Dean, Students’ affairs, Mr. Makinde encouraged the footballers representing both departments, to play with love, and encourage the spirit of sportsmanship among themselves.
The first match in the SUG Olympics football competition ended as a goalless match for both teams.
