The Students’ Union (SU) of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, has announced that the ongoing ID card biometric capturing will officially close on Friday, November 21, 2025, while the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) registration will begin on Monday, November 24, 2025.
In a release signed by the Students’ Union President, Fagbemini Nurudeen Ojo, and General Secretary, Tajudeen Muh’d Shittu, students who are yet to complete their biometric capturing are strongly advised to do so before the deadline, as the exercise is crucial for the issuance of their official school identification cards.

The memo also revealed that registration for the Federal Government’s support program, the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), will commence on Monday, November 24, 2025, and close on Friday, November 28, 2025.
“All interested and eligible students are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and complete their registration within the stipulated timeframe,” the statement added.
The Students’ Union further urged students not to wait until the last minute to complete both the biometric capturing and Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) registration processes in order to avoid being left out.
The notice was issued through the Office of the Public Relations Officer, Ipadola Usman Gbolagade.
