The Polytechnic Ibadan Press Council has inaugurated new executives to pilot its affairs for the next 365 days as it dissolved its 2019/2020 executives at its press day ceremony on Sunday, 12th September,2021 at the Tunde Odunlade Art gallery, Bodija, Ibadan.
At The inauguration, the alumni body of the council headed by Comrade Olaifa Micheal, congratulated the newly appointed executives, and implored them to stand as one by making love and unity their watchwords.
Comrade Olaifa also charged the newly inaugurated executives, not to forget what they stand for and that they should look forward to making the Press Council, The Polytechnic, Ibadan better than it was. He buttressed that, despite the differences in operation of the Press and the student union body, the new executives should ensure there is no animosity between the two independent bodies and cordial relationships be maintained.
Speaking at the event, the Student Union President-Elect, Adedeji Abdulazeez Adedamola assured the Press Council that he will work hand-in-hand with the new executives and also ensure peaceful coexistence between the two bodies. “The Polytechnic, Ibadan is all in our hands and I will make sure I work effectively with the TEAM because, Together Everybody can Achieve More”, The President-elect said.

Olaniran Timothy – Vice Chairman
Hamzat Ameenat – Editor-in-Chief
Sulaimon Taiwo – Deputy EIC 1,
Adegoke Awau – Deputy EIC 2,
Akinpelu Tosin – General Secretary,
Kabirat Olayiwola – Assistant General Secretary
Nurudeen Ishola – Protocol Officer,
Ibitunde Taoheed – Production Manager,
Busari Mariam – Financial Secretary
Olasupo Olamide Taofeeqat – Welfare Secretary,
Oyawode Oyebode – Assistant Production Manager
Akinwale Peter – Public Relations Officer.
