On Wednesday, 13th December, 2023, the school management in a memo released by the Deputy Registrar, Students Affairs, Mrs. Akintunde F. B disclosed that the candidates for the position of the Vice President II have been stepped down.
The Students Union Government Electoral Committee in a meeting held on Friday, 8th December, 2023, considered the appeal letter written by the Faculty of Engineering Students for reinstatement and consideration of Full-time candidacy in Students Union Government. The committee reached a resolution that the two current candidates contesting for the post of Vice President II should step down for the 2023/ 2024 academic session and the office should remain vacant till the next academic session.
The memo further states that henceforth,the position approved for each mode of study should be clearly stated in order to avoid ambiguity in subsequent elections.
