The Oyo State Government has granted automatic employment to the wife of Late Comrade Yemi Adeniran, Mrs. Yetunde Adeniran as an auditor at The Polytechnic, Ibadan
The letter of employment was presented to the widow by the Honorable Commissioner for Education, Barr. Olasunkanmi Olaleye on Monday 13th July, 2020 on behalf of Governor Seyi Makinde.
Ola Adeosun, one of Laidat’s friends appreciated the goodwill of the Governor in a Facebook post. “On behalf of the Adeniran family, we thank Mr Governor for keeping this particular promise. We are not unaware of the roles played by various individuals and organizations, who in one way or the other have played one role or the other in ensuring that this event came to fruition.”
Press Council correspondent spoke with Mr Kunle one of the close friends to the deceased family, “this is a huge help and assistance by the Oyo State government and are happy for the kind gesture.” he said.
Comrade Obeysurutu who was also a close friend to the late Comrade showed his sense of appreciation.
While speaking with Press Council, the current 2020 SUG president, Comrade Fadare Blessing, “the late comrade has been one of the pillars of struggle of the Polytechic Ibadan during his lifetime. We appreciate the efforts of the Oyo state government, the management of the institution towards the kind gesture by not forgetting the Late comrade. I spoke with the wife and she’s glad .” he said.
Press Council was also opportune to speak with the beneficiary, Mrs. Olaide Yetunde Adeniran. She shared an emphatic bittersweet account with us as follows. “I’m most grateful to God Almighty for this day, though I can not but weep today when I think about Yemilikedat whose credibility brought about this… So in all honesty I term my feelings MIXED FEELING. I must not but appreciate the Executive Gov. of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde who when he came to pay the family condolence visit made four promises and has started fulfilling them with this great step….May God continue to light his path.
She continued. “Also, I am thanking my late husband’s political associates and not leaving out comrades that are not in same party with him but stood by us….You all are appreciated.”
She further said. “I will be an ingrate if I don’t appreciate the effort of the NANS Global president in person of Comrade Danielson Bamidele Akpan and so many comrades that I cannot mention, May God stand by you ALL. I have numerous people around me that I cannot explain how well they are appreciated, God knows you ALL….I am very grateful.
Once again I say thank you Mr Governor, his political appointees, PDP media team, Friends of late Yemi from different camps, Family members and all well-wishers.

Late Comrade Yemi Adeniran who was a former Chairman, Press Council & SUG president of The Polytechnic, Ibadan though he’s dead physically but his legacy lives on.
