The Queen’s Cup competition which was earlier postponed eventually commenced on 25th of March, 2019, with the Faculty of Business and Communication Studies (FBCS) and the Faculty of Science (FAS) as the opening match of the competition.

The match commenced with the opening ceremony, followed by the introduction of guests, the citation of the national anthem, the kick off by the Student Union Government president (SUG), comrade Akadiri Bayonle, before the final kick off by a starting pass from the FBCS’s team.

There was an extraordinary display of football prowess during the match as the two teams struggled with the ball to get the control of the game. However, the first half ended with two goals to nill in favour of the FBCS Queens team.

The second half which started after a short period of rest created an exciting uproar, a skillful player from the FASSA Queens outmanoeuvred her opponent to net two outstanding goals in a very interesting way. Few minutes to the end of the game, the net was shook again by the FBCS which was later equalized by a penalty kick in favour of the FASSA Queens.

The match ended in a 3-3 draw.
