The Student Union President of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Comrade Fagbemi Nurudeen Ojo, has addressed issues surrounding school fees deduction and student welfare during a live discussion on Reiz FM 101.9.
Fagbemi Nurudeen Ojo, the Students’ Union President, has addressed issues surrounding school fees deduction on Friday, November 7, 2025, during a live broadcast “Talk With the Union” on Reiz FM 101.9, a program organized by the Press Council of The Polytechnic, Ibadan. The show was anchored by Omotayo Alade and Olabosinde Israel.

During the discussion, Comrade Fagbemi acknowledged the financial strain many students are experiencing and reaffirmed the union’s commitment to championing policies that prioritize students’ economic welfare.
“We are setting up a roundtable discussion with other student leaders to engage the school management on issues surrounding school fees and related student concerns,” Fagbemi said.
The union president also touched on student welfare, particularly in relation to hostel living conditions. He disclosed that provisions have been made for regular fuel supply to ensure electricity in the hostels an initiative jointly funded by the students’ union and the school management.

Fagbemi’s assurance has been welcomed with optimism by the student community, as many believe that the union’s dialogue with management will lead to positive outcomes.
The “Talk With the Union” program continues to serve as a vital platform for transparency, accountability, and open communication between the students’ union and the students on campus.
