Sequel to the resumption fixed at tomorrow, Wednesday, 8th May, 2019 by the Management of the institution, there were rains of gunshots as some unknown men disrupted the peace at the South campus entrance of the institution on Tuesday afternoon, 7th May, 2019.
The incident began some minutes to 4 in the afternoon, where various properties were damaged ranging from private cars, tricycles, the commercial bus, and the security house at the entrance of the Institution.
A eye witness said, “those people were three with two holding guns, and one with axe. They were in blue top and black beret. When they came, the security men manning the gate ran for their lives as they were shooting in the air as well as destroying cars with the axe.”
Before the security operatives would reach the venue of the situation, the perpetrators of the acts have left the scene.

I think tpi mgt need to hire a reasonable security men instead of those who are unarmed asking to man the gate.
To my own view,I dont think those one are tpi students because if they are one they would ve come around before now. I guess someone hirer them.
…Probably they want tomorrow’s resumption possibly and thunder go fire them.

The management need to work on the following:
* external security nothing less than soldier
* entry and exit
* provide means of identifying student from external
I think there shld be soldier barrack inside the school.all illegal route to sch shld be blocked.

Yes, they (Management) should provide armed men to be securing the School day and night. I do not think it will cost them too much, they can even introduce a token as security fee for the Students to pay, even if is just N200 per student, before they will gather all from all the students, it will become big money. Is only God that is securing the students otherwise it would have been something else. I just hope I have not made a mistake by taking my daughter to the School.

From all comments read above, I concur with with the idea that the institution needs armed security force to man the environment.

We need operation burst pls students are not save and during exams they can match to the exam hall as well o pls we need original security
Moreover, one thing still remain question. It’s the ownership of TPI @this juncture.
Is it owned by the students, the management, or the OYO state government?
Or has it been privatised, to assure us the reasons why common students claim superiority over the government on what belongs to the state government and reasons why heavily armed security men aren’t on the campus now?
it’s obvious that academic activities are suffering due to inefficient security and management indecisions. since the institution belongs to state, I will suggest the state government of Oyo state should deploy enough armed securities to curb this menace.
Because if they fail to do so the unforseen circumstances may be outrageous and leads to state problems.
Yh,we really need better security other than those blue shirted men who are only there for checking if you’re putting off crazy or offshoulder ta!

I think there is somthing held up is this actions that are yet to be figured the last assault that lead to the mid break was proir to the activity held by the student union and this is no where to be traced to……definitely the previous fight was not really for the reasons we thought. All the management need to do is make proper investigations get to know what these people are up to….for God sake time is running out first semester is yet to come an end students are growing older and the institution is wasting there precious time if care is not taken this might end up getting the institution shut down there is even no hope for aspirants because i don’t think i could advice someone to choose this institution……its hell shit
