Management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan has directed all students to ensure full compliance with examination requirements ahead of the first semester 2025/2026 examinations scheduled to commence on Monday, February 16, 2026.
This directive was contained in an internal memorandum issued by the Directorate of Student Affairs and signed by the Senior Deputy Registrar, Student Affairs, Mrs. I.P. Olatona, on behalf of the Dean of Student Affairs.
According to the memo, students who are yet to pay their school fees are required to do so before the commencement of the examinations, warning that failure to comply may result in denial of access to the examination halls.
The memorandum further stated that students who had already paid their school fees before the disbursement of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) are advised to visit the Directorate of Student Affairs to complete the necessary documentation for a refund, Such students are expected to present valid evidence of payment.
Management also emphasized that only students with proven evidence of registration documents and valid Polytechnic identity cards will be allowed into the examination halls.
Any student without these requirements, the memo noted, will not be permitted to sit for the examinations.
The Directorate cautioned students to take the information seriously, stressing that “to be forewarned is to be forearmed.”
The notice was widely circulated to deans, heads of departments, faculty officers, the Students’ Union leadership, the Press Council, and displayed on notice boards across the institution.
The Polytechnic Ibadan students are expected to comply fully as preparations intensify for the forthcoming examinations.
