The Students’ Union, The Polytechnic Ibadan, has officially welcomed students back to campus and announced the continuation of the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) registration.
In a memo dated January 5, 2026, and signed by the Students’ Union executives, the union extended heartfelt wishes to the entire student body. “As we resume, remember every effort you put in today builds the future you dream of. Stay disciplined, stay inspired, and stay united,” the memo stated.

The union also informed students of the ongoing NELFUND registration. NELFUND is a federal loan initiative designed to provide financial access to students and young Nigerians seeking higher education and vocational training, especially those who cannot afford it independently.
Interested students are expected to report for registration at the Assembly Hall, North Campus, by 9:00 AM daily with the following documents:
- JAMB Admission Letter
- NIN and BVN
- SUG Receipt
- Faculty Receipt
- Department Receipt
- Local Government/Indigenous Receipt
The Students’ Union encouraged all students to approach the new academic phase with renewed focus, energy, and commitment following the festive break.
