The Students’ Union Government of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, has announced the continuation of the ID Card Biometric Capturing Exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session. According to an official release signed by the Public Relations Officer, Ipadeola Usman Gbolagade, the exercise will run from Monday, November 10th to Friday, November 14th, 2025.

The biometric capturing, which is being conducted at the Assembly Hall by 9:00 a.m. daily, is a compulsory process for all students, as it is essential for the issuance of official student ID cards.
The Union emphasized the importance of timely participation, noting that the school management has made it mandatory for both students and staff to wear their ID cards on campus. Non-compliance after the deadline may lead to restrictions or penalties.
Students are advised to come along with the following documents for the exercise: SUG Receipt, Faculty Receipt, Departmental Receipt
The Union urged students who are yet to participate to do so promptly to avoid last-minute congestion and any inconvenience that may arise when enforcement begins.
